What We Did:
Badass women are our thing, so we jumped at the chance to help Jessica Alba host an ‘Honest Beauty’ Dinner Party, to launch the Honest Beauty's New Liquid Lipstick. We found a magnificent mansion and decorated it with effortless style and grace. Then, we created a chic, cozy setting with decadent florals, hurricane lanterns, a poolside DJ and a truly mesmeric floral archway that transported our guests into another world upon arrival. Cocktails flowed, scrumptious hors d'oeuvres made the rounds, followed by a seated dinner and then emotions ran high as a power panel including Jessica Alba and Rebecca Minkoff had a real and raw conversation about the perks and pitfalls of being a woman in business. After the panel, guests were invited to take their gifted goodies (a Cuyana custom bag, Honest Company Lipsticks and a Rebecca Minkoff Leather jacket) to be hand-painted and monogrammed by talented artists. The event was shared far and wide, drumming up press well beyond its humble size.
Why It Rocked:
Real connection was the goal of the evening, so it was paramount that the night felt intimate, not intimidating. This meant lots of human touches, thoughtful gestures and moments of generosity. We believe the dinner table is the ultimate place to come together, so we made it an exquisite focal point of the evening. We created a striking setting with fresh florals, printed menus, handwritten name tags, a farm-to-table 3 course meal and luxurious tableware, with a lipstick tucked into the napkins. In a nod to harmony and synchronicity, we matched the linen pillows, tablecloths and flowers to to new lipstick colors. The party went later than planned, which we take as a sign of a night gone right! Our guests were dressed to impress, but the setting invited them to drop their guard and connect on an intimate level.
